Some Really Cool Artwork ...and Tumblr!

Mentlegen.

I have stumbled across some awesome art. Awesome to me, anyway. And rather than keep these wonders to myself, I have decided to share them with you the only way an adult shut-in with a computer possibly can - by posting them and my flimsy, possibly void opinions of them on my Blog. And on Twitter. And on Facebook. And via Instant Messaging. ...whatever. BLOG POST BEGINS.

This is an image of some space marines shooting and/or running scared from two snow-beasts. I don't know where the image came from. Or what it's about. Or who is the artist. But you have to admit, it is pretty badass, even if it is in a retro sorta way.

At first I was like BLIMEY THIS MONSTER DESIGN IS UNINSPIRED AND DULL. Further inspection revealed that this bugger is made entirely of fruitcake. Fruitcake! Apparently the bugger is an ultra-rare holiday card made for the way-too-nerdy-to-mention-with-a-straight-face Magic: The Gathering. I'm not into card games (especially not the kind that have their own "multiverses" and consider shit like giant fruitcake monsters canon), but nonetheless, this bastard is unholy edible. I like it!

Similarly, the Magic: The Gathering website has some wicked cool artworks from their nerdy playing card game. Go check them out!

I like this artwork too! Sure, there's no monsters in this one, but it has rain. Rain! And this man is crouching in it! Y'know, some people can barely stand in the rain, and this man is squatting in it. Kickass. I think it's Altair from Assassin's Creed, though it could be Ezio from Assassin's Creed II. Regardless, he's damn cool. (You can't eat this guy though, unlike the fruitcake guy. Sad.)

This. It's from Halo: Reach. Ironically, a game you can quote me on disliking very much, if my "other" blog is to be "believed". *dry laughter* But having said that, I honestly really freaking like this concept art from Reach. I found a wallpaper version at my favourite pay-per-year website Gamewallpapers.com, and I swear it's incredible. So I'll give Halo credit for one thing, it does have some pretty impressive imagery. If the gameplay wasn't generic and boring, and the actual art direction didn't rip everything straight from Aliens, maybe I'd actually say something nice about the series. But I digress.

So, there we go.

...OH WAIT NO IT'S NOT THERE'S MORE!!

I joined TUMBLR!! I love blogging, I live micro-blogging, but not very often have I found a website that can tread the line between Blogger and Twitter. Here we have is a website that is half-blog, half-image-sharing, all awesome. I'm available here, "andyofcomixinc" (as per usual) and I update it sporadically when I find cool stuff. Like, for example, the images above. ...ohhhh, is that all this was? Advertising my Tumblr? Nah, I just wanted to reassure myself this blog is worth a damn.

Which it still totally is, of course.
