Oh, yeah, you're real scary!

I believe I owe some people blog mentions. So I'll do it here, right now. The funk's ol' brother, right about now. (S-sorry.)

First of all, Dennis PD - Edward Rose's pet project from a little earlier this year. A "TV Show" about John Dennis, a hard, Chuck Norris-like character who truly believes in his own invincibility (hell - he may be right), and his hapless assistant BG, who is, on more than one occasion, at the butt of a joke - or a gun. Or both.
Now, for all it's worth, Dennis PD is a mixed bag. On the one hand, it's a solid concept with good direction, tight scripts, and some nice acting (considering they're all college-aged schoolkids). On the other... it really does stink of home movies. Rose seems to fall into some pitfalls that he could have avoided with more time in production. Audio issues could have been solved by using a boom, or re-dubbing key scenes; some weird camera shots (such as where you can see the cameraman in a reflection in a mirror, and whatnot) really drag down what is a series with a bucketload of potential.
But y'know what? Screw you, me! Rose has done what many people have the idea to do but not the guts (or dare I say it, balls) to go through with it. A 6-episode "pilot" series with great writing and likable characters. It's well worth a watch, and while certainly not jaw-droppingly amazing, it has a rather raw quality about it. And sometimes... it's just plain hilarious. Watch it, now. The series can be found at Edward Rose's YouTube Channel. Just remember to watch them in order or you'll be more lost than a dust mite in an ant colony.

Ah, webcomics. Is there anything they can't do? I mean besides fail to hold my interest for longer than a few weeks. Kidding.
Seeing as XKCD is consistently the funniest, nerdiest thing on the internet, Penny Arcade is consistently the most well-earning comic on the internet, and Cyanide and Happiness is, well... Cyanide and Happiness, on a weekly or daily basis, it's no wonder you'd try and take a slice of the crowded and yet large market pie that is Gaming Webcomics. Hell, even Zero Punctuation gives you a guide on how to do it! Even I've tried my hand at it (albeit, it ran for a week and failed worse than a dust mite in an ant colony).
So here we have an in-construction site done by a friend of mine, Mr Alistair, and a few friends of his, called Resume-Game. Sounds generic? Sounds lame? Well how about the fact that I may be contributing?? I already made a 404 error made out of 404s for them. Okay, well maybe this is kind of a wing on a prayer sort of thing, but I for one will be following the progress of this website very closely.
You can find the incomplete page over at www.resume-game.com, and if there was a Facebook or Twitter I knew about I'd put it here. Watch this space for updates.

So, Ed and Al, I finally mentioned you in the blog. What's my prize, bitches? Besides nothing of any value or worth the satisfaction of seeing your smiling reactions?

UPDATE: There is a Resume-Game Twitter feed, here it is: http://twitter.com/ResumeGame

This is Dennis, rather than censor your blog I am going to go ahead and tell you it has a heap of potential but is let down by the impossible comment about my invincibility and the fact you fail to gasp that this is a documentary. 3 stars.
