2 weeks late is a print media deadline

Well, due to unforeseen circumstances (i.e., my long-time-coming yet mostly disappointing return to school), I didn’t have the time to a) update my blog post-holidays, or b) upload my holiday snapshots from my phone onto the PC. Well, in the harrowed tradition of nailing two animals over the head with one large stone-like object, here is an update on my holidays, and my holiday snapshots, fresh from the phone handset onto the disc drive onto the Internet onto your computer monitor.

Well, I was in the Gold Coast… like, as it seems, were a million other Tasmanians… we stayed at a resort with the “second half of our family” (my Uncle and Auntie and my two younger, female-flavored cousins, one of whom is Spongebob-impaired). We partake in such activities as going to all the theme parks, walking through the city- bah, who am I kidding? If you live in Australia, are rich enough to afford plane tickets, and are over 16 years of age, chances are you have no doubt been to, or heard of off of a close friend, the Gold Coast and it’s many touristy-type-attractions. So I’m not going to go on and on and on about how cool Superman Escape was at Movie World and how the sun was bright and how the Asians roamed the streets on flocks of 12 and they were lost like ants whenever separated from the herd. Instead I’m going to show you some pretty pictures of people and things. And, as a picture tells a thousand words, that brings my word count to close to a billion.

Here’s my Spongebob-impaired female cousin, whom to protect her true identity shall be called Handface. Also under the pile of luggage is my brother, Hamface.

You do some crazy things while being egged on by a bunch of rowdy prepubescent punks. One of which; do crazy things to your uneaten sauces and foods while at a grillhouse.

A koala! It’s native environment at Dreamworld!

A snake! It’s native environment of a park bench!

A kangaroo! It’s native environment of right in front of my camera! This is real moving stuff people.

The same kangaroo, only at a lower resolution, and landscape.

Handface! It’s native environment of inside it’s own hands! (Remember: if she can’t see me, I can see her. It’s the rules.)

Oh, seriously for a second – the beautiful city streets. Magnificent sun, too.

This is one of 3 shelfs of manga they had at a bookstore at Robina Shopping Center (which, for the record, is massive). Fun fact: there is more manga on this shelf than in all of Launceston combined.

And finally, a stingray I made friends with at Seaworld (plus a very rare glimpse of my right hand, petting said stingray lackey). Forgive my lack of actual holiday snapshots, as I only have a phone camera, not a “real life camera” for saving those “Kodak moments”. If I can, I’ll steal some pics off my dad’s “real life camera.” See y’all next week.
