The Old, the New, and the Crash-a-Lot

I'm seriously pondering what's going to become of Comix, Inc. I love the 5 main characters, they're quite well defined by this point (at least, in my head), and their typical backdrop and myriad of kooky and not-so-kooky (villainous or otherwise) aquaintances is always expanding.

But I've started to wonder, what will it expand into? I tried writing a section of a story as a direct parody to the opening of The Dark Knight (only with Chefs instead of clowns), and... I enjoyed writing it... but somehow, it didn't fit. Same with the whole "giant robots, monsters and aliens" quip I often use when describing the series. If I'm going to see any real future, I need to do a better job at creating new, individualized characaters. So in terms of friends of Comix, Inc., I think, unless they're just as dynamic and characterized as the main crew themselves, then they're in. And if they're foes, then I'd like them to be justified in their villainy just by the way they act, and who they are. So, if a scientist wants to poison all the apples so apple-eating people die, they need to act like apple haters.

On another note, I'm still looking at artists to draw Long Winter, which is very much a Star Trek parody, only with Russian-speaking aliens and a heavyset black guy who calls himself "Master Chef". Yep, it's weird.

And finally, I bought S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Clear Sky.  But it crashes so much I can safely say that until it's fixed, I'm gonna be holding off judgement.
