Hey y'all.
So, I saw Wall-E, the next in the never ending line of awesomeness from Pixar, the only studio in the whole business driving forwards. And I have to say... it's actually very, very good. For those of you that don't know, it's about a little lonely robot named Wall-E. Turns out, Earth has been completely ravaged, so they switched off all the cleaning robots and set sail for Space on a big ship. So they forgot to turn of Wall-E. Eventually, Wall-E befriends a cockcroach (who can't die). Then later, he befriends a plant-seeking, "directive" following robot named Eve. Then, even later, he befriends a the fat Captain of the Axiom, and kind of makes two other fat people meet. Well, the idea is that after floating through space so long, humanity kind of got fat, and they sit in chairs blogging all day. I'd give it 3 stars if it was this basic plot, but as you'd know, Pixar films are deep. So basically, I'm gonna go ahead and give it 5 stars, not only because it has some awesome end credits, but because the ship's onboard A.I. reminds me of GLaDOS from Portal.
And, from last week, I shall review Doctor Who Series 4, Episode 10: "Midnight". I was dreading it would be the money-saving f**k that episodes like Love and Monsters and that 2012 Olympics one were, but it actually turned out to be one of the better episodes this series. It was quite freaky in parts, and I enjoyed that the Doctor was turned against in the end. I also liked the idea of being stuck on a bus, with only one cabin, rather than the usual Doctor Who "oh no, we're stuck in a spaceship with the aliens hunting us down inch by inch". It was very nice to have "knock knock, BAM we're in" kind of aliens.
Bye y'all.
